1. Delivery Timescales
All our furniture is crafted to order to ensure premium quality. The estimated delivery time to your door is approximately 5 to 9 weeks, depending on the specific item’s complexity and size.
- Small Items (Side tables, small dining chairs, modular storage): Approx. 5 - 5.5 weeks.
- Medium Items (Coffee tables, standard dining tables, media consoles): Approx. 5.5 - 7 weeks.
- Large/Bulky Items (Sofas, large sideboards, entertainment units, armchairs): Approx. 7 - 9 weeks.
*Please note: This timeframe includes both production and shipping. You will receive a tracking number once your order is dispatched.*
2. Shipping Costs
Shipping fees are calculated based on the actual size, weight, and packaging volume of the item, rather than just the product price. Applicable shipping fees will be clearly displayed on each product page and at checkout.
Our standard shipping tiers within the UK (excluding the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and other remote areas) are as follows:
- £29 – Compact chairs, small side tables, and small modular components.
- £59 – Standard media consoles.
- £79 – Medium/large dining tables, standard chests of drawers, and specific sideboards.
- £129 – Standard to large sofas (2/3-seaters), large sideboards, entertainment units, and large dining tables.
- £199 – Extra-large, oversized sofas, and large modular configurations.
*If your order contains multiple items, you will only be charged the single highest shipping fee from your basket.*
3. Delivery Service & Scheduling
- Pre-Delivery Call for Large Items: For bulky items such as sofas and large sideboards, we will call you in advance to schedule your delivery and assess your property access.
- Vehicle Access Requirements: Our standard large items are delivered via 8.4m or 13.5m lorries. To ensure a smooth and safe delivery, these vehicles require a road width of at least 2.4 meters, that is not a single-track road, with sufficient clear space for the driver to unload the goods.
- Alternative Vehicle Arrangement: If your property is located on a narrow street, a single-lane road, or lacks unloading space, we will arrange a smaller vehicle for your delivery. Please proactively inform us of any potential access restrictions during your pre-delivery phone call so we can dispatch the correct vehicle size.
- Kerbside Delivery: Standard delivery is kerbside only. The carrier will deliver the item to the ground floor entrance (driveway or front door). For safety reasons, drivers cannot carry items upstairs or inside rooms unless a “Room of Choice” upgrade is purchased. Please ensure someone is available to help move the item inside.
- Delivery Hours: We deliver 7 days a week, between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm (Excluding Bank Holidays).
4. Failed Delivery & Unclaimed Goods
- Please keep your phone accessible to receive our delivery call.
- Failed Delivery Fee: If the delivery team cannot access the property (e.g., incorrect vehicle size arranged due to unreported access restrictions), parking is unavailable, or no one is present to accept the goods during the scheduled slot, a £30 failed delivery fee will apply to cover re-delivery or return handling.
- Unclaimed Goods: If goods are not collected within the carrier’s holding period, they may be disposed of. No refund will be issued for unclaimed or destroyed items.
5. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds
- ChapterLiving Guarantee: We deliver only premium quality. Customized and made-to-order items cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
- Damaged or Defective Items: If your item arrives damaged or defective, please email Customerservice@chapterliving.cowith photos within 48 hours of receipt. We will offer a full refund or a free replacement.
- Change of Mind Returns: If you wish to return a non-faulty item, you are responsible for the return shipping costs to our warehouse. The original shipping fee is non-refundable.
- Refund Processing: Once a return is approved and the goods are received and inspected, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 7 days. *(Please note: Original shipping charges and any duties/taxes are non-refundable unless the goods are faulty. For refused shipments or incorrect addresses, refunds will deduct both original and return shipping costs).*
